Begging for Love
Terry and I were sitting around this evening, sharing news of the week and just random thoughts and feelings like couples do. As the conversation was moving into ideas for going out to eat, we looked down as Bella, our 11-year-old kitty began to beg for attention.
Ever since I met Terry, Bella doesn't ask for much. But she does beg for love and attention during the time Terry is at home. I have had her beg to me a couple of times, but when "dad" is home, she really wants that attention! She completely deserves it too, as she is picked on by Kit at times. She wants dad to hold her in his lap on the chair or pet her when he is sitting anywhere.
There are times he has been standing and she goes into the begging position. I have wanted to sneak a photo of it so many times, however it's tough to have that camera ready to go when she does want him. I finally took one tonight and even though it isn't the best photo, I got her doing her thing.
Below is the result of that capture. I absolutely love this cat and I'm not a cat person as much as I am a dog lover. But both Bella and Kit are now family and part of the love the universe is offering to me now.
Home has become Bella, Kit, Jasper (Peanut), Terry and me. I love "us" and I love my new family. I have waited for this scenario, asking the universe for just this. Now it's mine. The time has come to thoroughly enjoy each and every precious moment, by living in the moment.
We have two seniors in the family. One is Jasper who is now 13 and Bella is now 11, almost 12. Terry and I are no spring chickens either. The time we share is invaluable. Life is too short to not respect and enjoy the blessings sent our way. I agree with Bella. We should stretch toward the skies and ask for love. Once we receive the love we have asked for, cherish every day spent in the light of that love. Be like Bella. Reach for love from Spirit and the angels. Then share that light and love with others. We all need that now.
