Dogs, Flowers, and True Love

 

Terry returned from work with an armful of love for Valentine's Day! I do mean hugs, kisses, and also gifts. I looked into his eyes and told myself how very blessed I am to have found this man. He is so loving, kind, and just everything I could ask for in a life partner. 

He walked into the house with open arms. I love to feel his embrace. Terry is a taller man who makes me feel safe, secure, and definitely loved. I cannot wait for him to return each day he is away at work. Each night we tell each other how much the other is missed, followed by plenty of hugs and kisses. 

Not only did Terry have open arms, but he brought in several other items. He brought this bouquet of multi-colored roses. I love roses or flowers of any kind actually. But roses have the scent that is heavenly and colors that brighten up the room. 

I knew we were heading out for dinner tonight. Last night Terry mentioned he was taking me out to eat and asked where I would like to go. Chinese food is a great choice on Valentine's Day or any other day of the year in my opinion. Chinese meals are one of my favorites!

I was going to wear the "Vicki/Terry" necklace he had given me after a few short weeks of knowing each other, but he surprised me with this as well as the flowers. I think it's beautiful and I will cherish it because it came from him. I will share photos of the "Vicki/Terry" necklace in another post. But I had to show this one too. The heart is perfect because he is my heart, my soul, my love. 

One of the most precious gifts he gave me today is the card. It's so special because it expresses the way we both feel about each other. It is as if Terry wrote the words himself. He wrote me poem when we first met and another one the other day. I plan on putting them in a frame at a later date, when we get settled in the new house. This card and the sentiments were perfect. I could not ask for a better card nor a better guy. But he wasn't finished yet. 

I also received this adorable stuffed dog! I love him, meaning Terry and the dog! Dogs are a big part of my life and I do love stuffed animals. He lovingly matched them both up for me with this one!

I cannot imagine my life without this man in it now that we are together. I hope at the reading of this blog post finds you with a life partner that brings you such joy and love that you feel whole. Life is a good thing, and we are meant to be happy, helping others and sharing ourselves. This does not mean only with a man or a woman as a partner, but truly being happy with yourself too. You don't need a life partner to give you the happiness, love, and joy you deserve. 

My choice to be with Terry has been a beautiful thing. I have been wounded from past experiences with partners and now it's time to heal with this newly found love. I have always been a happy person overall, but now it has expanded with the man I will soon call my husband.

 Chinese food it was! We had a very good time in the Chinese food restaurant. It was busy, but it gave us a chance to talk, hold hands across the table, and emotionally get closer. Terry never ceases to amaze me. The love he shows is beautiful. Not just with material things, but with the kindness and the closeness he gives. Great night!

Lee's Chinese restaurant is a good place to go for Chinese cuisine.  Since they were so busy, we did have a wait time, but that's okay. Like I said, we got a chance to chat. Because of the time spent waiting, she gave us a free appetizer. We picked the vegetable egg rolls and they were great! 

The waitress was certainly accommodating, even while running between tables on one of the busiest nights we've seen in the restaurant. The tea is good. Terry loves it. I can't drink it due to an allergic reaction to caffeine. The two of us love the egg flower soup that comes with the meal. Terry ordered chow mein and the pork fried rice. As usual, he loved it. 

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, with fried rice and egg foo young, one of my favorite dishes at any Chinese restaurant. The food was hot, it was good, and of course, the company was the best! Thank you, Terry, for an amazing day! You show me such an amazing day or night each and every time we are together. That's what love is all about. Happy Valentine's Day, my sweet man.
