Heavy Coats and Hearts Galore

Anticipating this day, Valentine's Day of 2023, to celebrate my love for Terry. We had a surprise this morning and it made the day even more beautiful to me. For Terry, not so much.

Terry left for work this morning as usual, but this time the drive wasn't quite so much fun. We woke to a beautiful snow-covered background. While I love snow and thought this was a welcome addition to the day, I worried a bit about Terry getting to work.

The second I woke, I ran for the window to see how much of the white stuff we received overnight. Fortunately, there was a very light dusting. Enough to make the scenery pretty, yet so little that I figured Terry had made it.

Being from Las Vegas and then California, Terry is not used to snow. When you don't have snow, you don't particularly care for it because it means treacherous driving to some degree. But this morning's weather offering left only enough to keep him safe and me happy.

Happy Valentine's Day from Terry and I! We hope you are safe and happy too. Take time out this evening for yourself! Treat yourself to that cupcake or hot chocolate, while binge watching your favorite show on Netflix. We are into a Hulu show now, consisting of tales from people who have had near death experiences. Not a very Valentine-sy (wow, making up words now), show, but it is very interesting. Our plans include going out to dinner and snuggling to keep warm when we return.

Downtown Roseburg, Oregon and the light dusting of snow we had on the ground this morning.  This is the flatter part of downtown, but the higher elevations received more of course. Everyone stay safe out there!
