Wednesday and Thursday's Photo Dump and Drivel

Wednesday came around quickly. We woke to a thick smoky layer across the area. Never a good thing for those who have respiratory issues. Those who don't might after inhaling some of this crap.

I have collected some photos from around town today. Feeling as though a photo dump is needed, I will release them into the memories we hold in this blog. You might find something interesting or you might think this blog post is a complete waste. Either way, Terry and I will have the photos in our memories for good.

Got a delivery call to Chi's Chinese Restaurant here in the downtown area of Roseburg. We've never eaten here, but I informed sweet man it may just be a place we want to try at some point. Looked great and smelled wonderful in the car during the drive to its forever home. OMG. Yum.

I found some of the decor in the restaurant rather adorable and as most Chinese restaurants are, very colorful.

In my opinion, this piece was cool. I enjoyed the lotus blossoms and the frogs too.

I drove the Chinese food delivery into nearby Winston. Not a horrible drive in terms of scenery, but many times I have been through this little town I have not had the chance to stop and take in the scenery. This time, I took a few moments out to stop the car and walk to places such as this bridge. The bridge here and in Roseburg hovers over the South Umpqua River, making this an intriguing stop. I just had to see what was lurking over the guardrails along this busy road.

The view was pretty. I'm glad I finally got a closer peek at what the South Umpqua looks like! Every place Terry and I have gone to see the river, it seems untouchable, with no bankside places to really look and enjoy the view.

Terry and I chose to go out for a meal last night. Once again, I was hot, tired, and sore, not to mention he was feeling worn out from work and life in general as well.

We took a jaunt to one of our favorite places. You can not go wrong with Round Table Pizza. The Hawaiian is one of our first choices, along with a pepperoni, mushroom, olive, and onion pizza. Always a good choice too.

Mm. With the tomato base of the sauce, mixed with Canadian bacon rounds, plump pieces of pineapple, all blended well with cheese? Are you kidding me? Best pizza ever.

Doing some runs around town this morning, I found sights that I had not taken time out to see before. I pulled the car over at several sites this morning to check out what Roseburg had to offer.

These were taken overlooking the fairgrounds. As you can see, a Ferris wheel and other rides have been put into place for the festivities to begin this weekend.

To the north is the South Umpqua River again, as it runs toward the downtown area. The ugly electrical lines were destroying the view, but sometimes the infrastructure of a city cannot be avoided.

The two little "dots" in the picture are a couple of young people, sitting in the tiny rapids.

Zooming in a bit to catch the kids playing in the water.

The water level is so low that parts of the river have very little water standing in puddles.

On the opposite end of town, a delivery was driven way up on a hill to the customer. Coming down, I saw this sight and thought it was fairly nice. The smoke in the background is horrible.

I thought this showed a nice looking portion of the little "burg" we live in.

I always like to look at Red Robin's unique art on the walls and in the Lady Liberty's grasp on a lovely burger.

All in all, well done, Red Robin. Makes me giggle. I love the burger seats and in fact, wish I had one or two.

Terry, Mallory, and I are headed off to another awesome concert in Sutherlin's Central Park. Tonight it's the Wild Rumours concert, giving us a Fleetwood Mac experience. We'll see how it goes.

Hope you all have a lovely evening. Thanks for reading through my drivel, especially on the days that we have nothing much to report. This post is mainly to put the pictures taken today into the memory banks of A Psychic and a Poet Walk Into a Bar. Thank you for reading!

Note: The concert will be on the next post so we do not create a book out of one event.
