Blissful Love
Well readers, we are two years into this marriage. The time we have shared, the images we have taken, the memories we have garnered all remain special to us and today is the day we celebrate those two years. Mr. & Mrs. Macrae status is two years of our life journey, together. As we continue to walk along our path known as Mr. and Mrs. Macrae, we welcome all that may greet us. It's been an amazing adventure, both the good and the bad. It all has become part of us as a couple and for that, we are grateful.
This morning began with a gift for us to open together. Terry opened the box with a box cutter and then pulled out the gift.
The moon on the night we first met, August 14, 2022. Coordinates and location of our meeting. It was beautiful. I'm going to hang it in our bedroom. I loved this gift. It did bring home the perfect concept of an anniversary gift.
Last night Terry informed me I had another gift to take care of this morning. I drove him to work to use the car to drive to this gift.
My sweet husband handed me this envelope ...
Had no idea as of yet ...
Ah! I was given the gift of true love, relaxation, stress relief, and beautiful music while I take it all in. Terry sees a physical therapist and massage professional named Amber. Or I should say he did see her. His time ended for the work he was having done on his hip. It really made a difference though and he wanted to extend the time. They are still working on it.
Since I teased him for so long about taking his place in the massage appointments and he is the kind, sweet man he is, I received this gift and I am so grateful! So far this anniversary has been just amazing. My sweet man was making it all happen.
I showered. I prepped. I headed out the door to be there by 11:00 AM. Nice place. Relaxing to be in, even before the massage.
Amber came out of a room and introduced herself. She was a very sweet woman and we had little chats here and there throughout the time I was sitting in the waiting room. She got the room ready and off we went.
She poured oil into her hand and began the massage. Oh, my massage Gods! Wow. I felt so good when she was finished. She even massaged my bad ankle and made it feel brand new again. Although it did pop a few times, once quite loudly. It was a wonderful experience and one I won't soon forget. Amazing gift, sweet man. Thank you!

We do have plans to go out to the Thai restaurant we love so much, and that's what ended up being the end result.
Terry chose his husband shirt we purchased for our honeymoon and I, of course, had to reciprocate. We both posed for the camera to remember our night out.
Before we left the house to go to the eatery, Terry presented me with another gift. The necklace came inside a fold out envelope type of holder. I opened it slowly, not being sure what it was. Then I saw the beautiful gold chain and began to open it faster. The excitement bubbled up at that point.
The necklace is a beautiful Yin Yang symbol with my zodiac sign on top (Capricorn) and Terry's Zodiac sign on the bottom (Taurus). I loved this gift as much as the others! I clasped the necklace around my neck immediately and off we went to enjoy our evening.
I had to wear the new necklace from my husband as we dined. Loving it!
My handsome guy had a cashew veggie dish for dinner. It looked great!
Lovely.
Me? I'm always up for an adventure. I had a pad Thai dish that was heavenly. A luscious, lightly spicy coconut sauce over noodles and veggies, topped with sprouts. Awesome.
After getting a leftover box to take home some of my soup, Terry ordered a plate of the mango sticky rice dessert we love so much. I had a couple of bites because I felt the coconut sauce on the veggies was enough sugar for the evening. Okay, so I lied. At home I added some blueberries and zero sugar whipped cream to the foods for the day. Call me a fatty patty liar and let's get on with the story, shall we? Ahem. Back to our story ...
Love mango sticky rice! Too bad the sugar content is so high. But taking into account the blueberries and whipped cream I had at home, there are about 10 grams of sugar in the blueberries alone. The whipped cream is without sugar, but still has calories and all the goodness that comes with a tub of Cool Whip.
After that delicious, super filling meal, we returned home where I hung the beautiful, sentimental picture my husband got for our anniversary. I hung it in the bedroom and love it there.
But my wonderfully romantic husband was not finished celebrating our marriage just yet. He walked in with a bouquet of lilies and another bouquet of roses. I put them in a vase and placed them on my desk in the office. Wow! They are not only gorgeous but the scent of lily and rose blend is amazing. The entire room smells like the heavenly floral mix.
He tells me he still was not sure if it would be the right bouquet but he knew I love roses and lilies. I explained that when you are giving your partner flowers, you can bring in a dozen dandelions and the sentiment is still there. As long as you do not bring a bee in with those dandelions, it still means the same or at least should if your partner is feeling blessed enough in her/his life. It's the thought that counts and a wonderful way to say, "I love you." A dozen lilies along with a dozen roses? Now how can you possibly go wrong with that?
My beautiful man also gave me a card to complete the ensemble of lovely gifts and surprises. It was difficult to hold back the tears as I read it, but I managed to do so.
He topped off the already beautiful, heartfelt card and ended it with words that will always stay with me because they mean so much.
Men, take note, this is how to please your partner romantically. Not purchasing a ton of items (although nice, believe me), but to tell her or him words that mean so much. He's a romantic, that's for sure. I love my beautiful man!
Happy anniversary, sweetheart. We have traveled together on this journey for two years now. Let's see what the rest of our adventure brings us. Hold my hand, let's take a deep breath, and walk together through this thing called life. I can't wait to see what life and love bring us.
My heart is filled with joy, happiness, and a love so deep I can't breathe at times. When you're gone, I miss you. When you're sad, I cry with you. When you're happy, we laugh together. We are one under the moon that brought us together, and we will remain that way until we join each other on the other side of the veil when the time comes. In between, we share all the love and life we can fit into the time we have together. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds ...
